As always, you can make this music a zero cost venture by donating whatever you like. Donations pay the musicians and engineers that created and shaped this out of thin air.
Chicago's Waiting cost $645 to make and so far we are $599 from making this music truly free . (I'll update periodically.)
FYI, telling a friend or two that's never heard of me to check this out is like donating $100!
lyrics
Chicago's Waiting was supposed to be a part of Build Me a City, but we ran out of time and energy nearing the end of a 24 hour drum/bass session. In fact, I believe we recorded a version with the Patrick Thomas Theory years ago. (Its unfortunate that more of that material never saw the light of day aka "the internet".) The song itself has gone through a number of arrangements, tempos and styles over the years but it has always resonated with friends and fans alike. I have always loved performing it too.
It was definitely a challenge to track a song that I have been playing for years and still make it fresh. For those of you that liked it the way it was, I hope you like this too. If not... donate 1k and I'll record again with you as a producer. Seriously!
Donate $20 before December 1 and get your name featured in the Airport Girl Video!
